Thank you for visiting the CF STORM trial website.

Here you can find out how the trial has progressed and what the next key stages will be.

What has participation in the study meant to Maria and her son?

Maria also talks about what she has learned from being a community representative as part of the Trial Management Team and what knowledge she hopes the trial will bring to the wider CF community.

Here is a short film featuring Maria discussing the impact of CF STORM. Maria is one of our Patient & Public Involvement members and her son participated in the trial.

CF STORM has involved large numbers of people working together across the UK, from the people taking part, their families and the CF clinical teams supporting their participation.

591

Number of people started on the trial (Randomised participants)

40

Number of hospitals across the UK recruiting to the study

Participants have steadily joined the trial over the last two years. Data collected from each participant during their year in the trial has been collated centrally. As the final participants reach the end of their participation period, there's a busy few months ahead with growing anticipation for the results being made available.
